This monstrosity was locked in front of the Schlegel Center the other day. Time trial bars with flats and a mirror? I can’t even imagine how the owner actually rides it.

My “professional” website is basically complete. iWeb isn’t so bad when you give it a chance.
I picked up a “new” desk from the thrift store. It was assembled improperly and snapped in a couple of spots during transport. I added couple of well placed drywall screws and now it’s as sturdy as a tank. It’s the same width as my old table, but the multi-tiered design gives me so much more space for my junk. I’m quite pleased with it.
This mural was in the back of a gallery/cafe that we stopped at in Little Portugal. I don’t remember the name of the place, but they had orange cheesecake. Mmm.
Thanks to the long weekend, I was able to head out with Dan and celebrate Owen Pallett’s 30th birthday at a 30 band concert. A ton of great musicians in one place. Toronto has a great scene (obviously, I guess). A couple of my favourites - Final Fantasy (pictured, poorly), Dan Werb of Woodhands doing some new euro pop type stuff with RRRed, Alex Lukashevsky, Brides, and we ended the evening on a high note with The Phonemes.
Had a chance to see Inglourious Basterds last night with a couple of fellow MBAs, and really it exceeded my high expectations. Outstanding direction by Tarentino and somewhat toned down (but still great) dialogue really made for a more cohesive film than a lot of his older works. An exceptional performance by Christoph Waltz really pushes this one into the history books in my mind.
